Is Drainage a concern for you

For the owner of this home on Tangent Drive in Tangent, drainage is a big concern. This year the water level of the drainage ditch in front of this home was above the culvert.

Does anyone have any additional pictures of flooding that they would like to share?

What are your concerns about drainage in Tangent?

This water has accumulated on the east side of Tangent. The rain fall exceeded the capaciity of the drainage system. Why is the council being blamed for an act of GOD?

Why was FEMA and the White House Administration blamed for the response to Katrina? Perhaps they were reactive instead of proactive. It seems to me that when flooding negatively effects people, they blame the decision-makers first. People don't blame the council for the rain, but for the effect the resulting flood had on them. If natural flood controls are compromised by non-ecological development that strains environmental controls, or poor decision-making, personal property will be affected, and people will look to the decision-makers for answers and accountability. The excessive rain may have been an act of God, or it may be the result of global warning, but it's the decisions that people make, (whoever they would like to blame or bless for their guidance) that ultimately effects their lives and the lives of the people around them.
